I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former twice world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is truly happening.
